Jason Zito
Wildlife Biologist

Jason Zito is a dedicated wildlife conservation professional with over a decade of experience in invasive species management and habitat restoration. He holds a B.S. in Wildlife Management and Conservation from Humboldt State University and has worked with various organizations, including Island Conservation, Research Corporation of the University of Hawaii, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Jason has extensive field experience in remote locations, managing projects focused on controlling invasive vertebrates to protect endemic species in Hawaii and other Pacific and Caribbean islands. His expertise includes wildlife trapping, hunting, pesticide application, and field team management. Jason is skilled in working with diverse stakeholders, maintaining biosecurity, and operating in challenging field conditions. Jason is also a certified remote pilot for sUAS (drones) and conducts ungulate density estimates.
